Hello,

My name is Odile Uwera, I am a writer and illustrator currently based in Kigali, Rwanda. I’ve been an artist for the past 8 years, working with different institutions and individuals to tell their stories, as I gradually found my place in the storytelling world. In my work, I like to explore themes of individual identity in relation to collective identity in this vast and perpetually evolving world. I have been an illustrator for eight years and a fiction writer for the past two.
